From the designer: “Featuring a mermaid with closed eyes, this design by Barbara Ana, is actually a whole underwater landscape. Emerging from the mermaids hair is a luxurious world of exotic subaquatic flowers and seaweed, inhabited by fish and a tiny crab. The mermaid’s tail supports a miniature hill-side village, flag flying high, while her scales feature another miniature seascape, beaten by waves and criss-crossed by little blue fish. The curve of her tail seems to harbour a miniature sea, with a sailboat entering a bay, while birds fly in the sunset. It is amazing how much detail the designer manages to squeeze into each pattern, a world within a world. ”
