From Jan: This design was inspired by a pillow I saw at a local furniture store. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would make an incredible cross stitch pattern. To achieve the look I wanted, a distressed look, I knew I had to use equally incredible threads, and I found them from Cottage Garden Threads. In this design, the focus is on using these gorgeous variegated threads so that the different colors shine. I have included a link to an instructional video in the text of the pattern to teach you all you need to know about using variegated threads. A DMC conversion is also included in the pattern. The fabric in the model is 40 ct Old Stationary by Seraphim Hand-dyed Fabrics. Many fine needlework shops are selling the Cottage Garden Thread thread packs.
