A splendid red house, smaller blue house, and grand trees complete the scene. Fruit and flower baskets adorn this delightful sampler. Mary Ann embellished her parents and grandparents names, along with her siblings. Marie E. was her teacher: Marie Eckman of Colerain Twp., Lancaster Co. PA. Mary Ann Baily was 13 years old when she embroidered her brilliant sampler. Mary Ann was born 10 Jan 1829 and died in 1887.
