Stitch Count: 93w x 164h
This sweet little Scottish Sampler was stitched by Marion sometime between 1817 and 1820 most likely, as Marion herself was born in 1809.
Lots of research on Marion is included, researched by Jacob DeGraaf of Modern Folk Embroidery for us. Thank you Jacob!
Marion stitched her sweet sampler in two colors, and we’ve provided both Cosmo and Needlepoint Inc. thread options for you. You can easily cross reference the Cosmo to DMC or choose from your stash. She’s a wee lassie and can be stitched with a single skein of each color, whether stitching with one thread or two.
We’ve put together some kits for her in both 30ct. and 37ct. with your choices of NPI silk or Cosmo Floss.
You can find kits for Marion by clicking here: Marion Lang
Marion is also suitable for stitching on Aida, as she has very minimal over one (the small c’s in the initials).
If you’d like to stitch her on Aida, you will need approx. a fat 1/8th of your color of choice. We have some fabulous Linaida available in 14ct and 18ct, and some beautiful overdyed Picture This Plus in lots of colors.
PTP Aida
Stitches used: Cross Stitch over 2, Algerian Eyelets over 4, Four Sided Stitch over 2, and just a tiny bit of over 1 for the Cs.
We really hope you enjoy stitching Marion!
