This chart uses 3 DMC colors: B5200 (2x skeins), 535 (2x skeins), and 310 (5x skeins)
You may also choose to use some specialty floss instead:
1. 1091 Whitewash WDW (Weeks Dye Works) instead of DMCB5200 (2x 5yd skeins)
2. 1295 Blackboard WDW instead of DMC535 (2x 5yd skeins)
Finished Pattern Specs:
Stitch Count: 167w x 215h
Design Size: 12″w x 15.5″h (14-count) or 10.5″w x 13.5″h (16-count)
Stitches used: Cross Stitch, Back Stitch
Fabric: Model was stitched on 14-count Aida in “Sandcastle” from Wichelt.
Update: The Sandcastle fabric will be hard to find for awhile, BUT this chart would work on so many different fabrics.
It will look good on almost any medium-color neutral fabric: beige, brown, greyish, blues, or try some crazy colors like orange or purple if you feel like it! Just make sure the white and black will show up! So don’t use white or black fabric 🙂
Here are a few other fabric suggestions:
1. “Beautiful Beige” by Wichelt (Linen/Aida/Lugana)
2. “Vintage Country Mocha” by Wichelt (Linen/Aida/Lugana)
3. “Stormy Night” by Wichelt (Aida or Lugana)
Please make sure to cut your fabric at least 3″ larger than the design on each side, 6″ in total to each side (so for the full design, use a fabric piece that is at least 18″ x 22″ for 14-ct or 16″ x 20″ for 16-ct)
