From Jan: Florigraphica – a depiction of florals. This started as a stencil design I came across on Pinterest, and as happens so frequently, I knew it would make a great cross stitch pattern and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. This was a labor of intense love. Love for the florals, love for the color palette, love for the fabric. It all came together perfectly. I hope you love it as much as I do!
I stitched the model on 40 ct linen by xJuDesign, color Old Linen using 1 strand of the over-dyed flosses over two linen threads. While this linen color is rather dark, I think this design would also look wonderful on a variety of linen colors, such as cream, pale pink, gold and more. I would love to see your version of it. The light version in the next to last photo was stitched by Michele, @pennysdaughtershares. She graciously allowed me to use her photo of her finished piece to show what the design looks like on a light fabric. I think it is gorgeous! She used the called for Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works floss on 32ct natural Belfast linen by Zweigert with one substitution- where CC Bunny Honey was called for, she used one strand of Bunny Honey and one strand of DMC 451. She stitched this with 2 strands of floss over 2 linen threads.
