Description
“Ancient Beauty for the Modern World”
Based upon a decorative metalwork window screen I saw while walking in San Francisco, this design evokes a classic interlocking pattern seen frequently throughout art history from Roman tile work to Art Deco ornamentation and even as recently as mid-century modern textiles. It’s simple repeating rectangles in striking turquoise and garnet are easy to work and can be adapted into a larger table runner or pillow cover by working more repeats on a larger piece of fabric.
