Description
A Winter Garden
Modern Folk Embroidery
Stitch count: 127w x 127h
With their collection of bold and exotic plants, Winter Gardens caught the fancy of many when they came into fashion in 17th century Europe. Around this time, cross-stitch samplers featuring a wealth of flora and fauna were also becoming more popular. Like an abstract plan for a greenhouse, this pattern features four plants in decorative pots placed in a hedge-like border pattern. This in turn is decorated with four abstract floral corners.
Model stitched on 32 count linen. Requires approximately 3-4 skeins of DMC floss.
