What a gorgeous project from Jackie du Plessis of “It’s Fine-ally Finished”! Based on a french “bonbonnière”, or a small decorative box traditionally containing sweets for a feast, such as a celebration or a wedding party. And what a beautifully decorated Bonbonnière you’ll have when you finish this fabulous offering from Jackie!
This Bonbonnière has a special meaning, as it was created by Jackie to celebrate 25 years of seminars/teaching events, and it is a wonderful celebration of stitches and silks creating this very special sewing box-basket. I know you will cherish it and find something very special to keep inside. Mine will have Mother of Pearl treasures inside created by Jackie!
Stitches used on the Bonbonnière box are:
Back Stitch, Chain Stitch – Hungarian Braided, Spiral Trellis Stitch, Herringbone, Cross Stitch worked over one linen thread and attachment of Spangles.
The sewing box-basket workshop is a one-day class and will be offered on Friday November 15th. Class Fee for The Gift is $275 and is payable in full upon confirmation of your registration.
Your lunch is included and we’ll have some fun swag for you. And here’s a fun fact… when you complete your project, we’ll reward you with a gorgeous mother of pearl thread winder for finishing your Jackie piece! I purchased a large number of these beauties from Jackie a while back that I’m only gifting to my Jackie students, and only when I see a finished piece that was taken or audited with us Sassy Jacks! It will snuggle so very nicely into your Bonbonnière. And it is only available from me… as it was bespoke created and made for you.
There is a special option for this workshop: an additional kit with instructions is available for pre-order from me (created by Jackie for The Gift) that includes the gorgeous Presentation Mat for The Gift. It’s a beauty all on its own, but simply scrumptious when paired with The Gift as shown here. The cost for the Presentation Mat for The Gift is $140, with half payable to me at pre-order/registration for The Gift (so all the dye-lots match), and half payable in October via invoice.

The workshop fee for The Gift is $275 payable in full upon confirmation of registration. You may audit The Gift, as this class is an encore presentation. Audit Fee is $75 and includes lunch and swag. There is no “ghost” option available. Attendance is required.
You may also pre-order the kit for The Presentation Mat that accompanies The Gift. The full kit cost for the Presentation Mat is $140, with $70 due upon registration and the remainder billed prior to the workshop. The kit will be available to you during the workshop.

Standard Queen or Double rooms will be available for $119 (plus applicable fees and taxes) per night. This is a fabulous rate for our area and this hotel.
